Frequently Asked Questions
How do I create an account?
Open the StillWaters app and tap "Sign Up" on the welcome screen. You can create an account using your email address or sign in with your Apple ID for a quick setup.
How do I reset my password?
On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password?" and enter your email address. We'll send you a link to reset your password. If you signed up with Apple ID, you can simply sign in again using Apple.
How do I enable daily notifications?
Go to Settings > Notification Settings in the app. You can enable daily devotional reminders and choose your preferred notification time to start your day with Scripture.
Can I use StillWaters offline?
Yes! StillWaters caches devotionals for offline reading. Simply open the app while you have an internet connection, and your devotionals will be available offline. Journal entries are saved locally and sync when you're back online.
How do I add friends?
Navigate to the Friends tab and tap the "+" button. You can search for friends by their username or email address. Once you send a friend request, they'll receive a notification to accept.
How do I share a devotional quote?
When viewing a devotional, tap the share icon to create a beautiful quote card with the daily Scripture. You can save it to your photos or share directly to social media to encourage others.
Are my journal entries private?
Yes, absolutely. Your journal entries are private by default and only visible to you. We encrypt your data and never share your personal reflections with anyone.
How do I bookmark a devotional?
While reading any devotional, tap the bookmark icon at the top of the screen. You can view all your bookmarked devotionals in the Archive section under the Bookmarks tab.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings > Account and select "Delete Account." Please note this action is permanent and will remove all your data, including journal entries, bookmarks, and reading history.
Why am I not receiving notifications?
Make sure notifications are enabled both in the StillWaters app (Settings > Notifications) and in your device's system settings. For iOS, go to Settings > StillWaters > Notifications and ensure they're allowed.
